Sophos autoupdate won uninstall

From personal, recent experience and I've been a Sophos partner for years. There is no simple way to remove the software if you didn't or cannot disable tamper protection. Those products don't work. The methods laid out here don't work. Be prepared if you're going to start using the Sophos product lines.

Easy removal is the enemy of the purpose of the product. Tamper protection wasn't mentioned so I assumed wasn't the issue. I have not had any issues removing Sophos from my environment, but there is a first time for everything.

Try installing that onto the machine to see if it is able to install successfully and clean up the existing Sophos install with a nice new fresh one. Sutibun That tool you linked worked a charm, uninstalled the lot!

Hi all I've tried to uninstall sophos on one of our PCs and nothing I can do will get it to go. We have a bat file from Sophos themselves and still nothing. All the services have gone apart from the hitman pro alert service and the sophos clean service. Anyone got any ideas? Best Answer. I need to uninstall and reinstall the Sophos on this machine.

Would you please send me the steps to get around this issue? Have you tried the steps in the following KB? Actually, from the sophos central console, I disable tamper protection for that computer. Also, as you can see in the picture, I'm not able to disable it locally. Maybe just changing the value "enabled" to "disabled" would work?

I just have the Endpoint Agent on this machine, nothing else. I don't have access to any of those menus. Also, I don't see sophos file in programs and features. Perfect, that sounds promising.
