The price level of this organization is high according to consumer reviews. I closed by billing account and can not find anyone to assist me on how to update the information with Dropbox. Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. They solved my problem, recovered my files, helped me to download them and to set up my account so that this never happens again.

They also refunded a subscription I had mistakenly taken out for another Dropbox account. It was painful, and for a couple of weeks at least I thought I had lost everything, but I finally got it all back, thank goodness..

Cons Security issues Automatic billing of full business price for a year. Preferred solution I want my pictures back, my pictures in my Dropbox is very important to me. You can also reply to the ticket you had open with support to add your thoughts there.

I really don't believe that anything written webmail, various email accounts gets through properly to the Help Desk staff. And I need to stress that the entire problem was of Dropbox' making, as they allowed someone I don't know to use my email account to set up a Dropbox account There were no checks!! Dropbox Complaints: Please go back and read emails associated with Tickets ; ; ; and who knows how many other Ticket numbers were allocated They didn't actually solve this problem I discovered it after 13 days of sheer agony - trying to get a password for what I was told was my account, so that I could see what the content was!

There are some real internal procedural problems at Dropbox that should be explored and remedied. People don't read and respond to message content, and Dropbox doesn't check the veracity of an application to open an account. I guess I could set up a whole lot of accounts under different email addresses and no-one would know until it was time for Dropbox to send weird emails threatening those people with a Dropbox account closure!

Which is alarming when one actually HAS a real Dropbox account as well as someone else's in their name I don't believe that anyone will follow up on this matter. I have requested it in several of the 33 emails mentioned above and in the end, had a sort-of explanation from the ONE staff member who seemed to know something about Dropbox, and sometimes read the emails. After 13 days of "communicating times a day", it was through him that I finally had the breakthrough! Yet he later sent me a proforma message with an insane request I am guessing that he is just flat-out busy and maybe didn't have time to do more than look for a keyword and send the standard response on those days.

I filled out at least one survey. Possibly two. There have been no acknowledgements. There have been no apologies for this appalling mess.

Dealing with the technician involced has been equally frustrating for me. This situation is so messed up I have moved my cloud synchronization needs to Sync. This was the worst customer support experience I have ever had. Not only did I have to cancel my card, which was a hassle, but I have no hope of being reimbursed for the two months when I did not use the service but was still being billed.

Tip for consumers: Carefully follow the instructions for canceling your paid service. Do not delete your account until you are sure that you are no longer being billed.

Complicated - not intuitive. Installed the trial version and 5 days later receive a phishing email with a false report title. Have removed from my computer. I have tried repeatedly to cancel my free trial and they have made it impossible. I followed the link provided in their reminder email, which led nowhere. Then I followed the instructions on how to cancel, which said to go into my account and click on the plan tab and then click on manage tab, which doesn't exist.

If you call for service, their automated message says that they don't provide support but doesn't provide a phone contact number. Their online support is non-existent so basically they are doing everything possible to prevent me from cancelling my free trial and apparently will start billing me in a few days.

Is anyone launching a lawsuit against this company, as I would be delighted to participate. Don't sign up for anything with them as it's impossible to get free of their grip on your credit card. If you go to Drop box to get help Well good luck. The only people that will talk to you are sales. Be crystal clears sales can't help you so that is the end of the story. Customer service number? No luck, and their tech support I have had a personal paid dropbox account for years.

I rarely ever log in to the web version. One super annoying thing is the ease in which you can move folders without meaning to and then the next time you go to dropbox everything is missing. Requires you to login to web and see your activity. Then find that 20, files and dozens of folders were accidentally moved to some super obscure folder without intending to.

I have had google and MS folders for many more years than dropbox and never once has that happened. I asked dropbox to make this accidental folder moving more difficult a few years ago, but since it just happened again, apparently they don't think it's an issue. You used to be able to talk to customer support but no longer.

It's frightening to open dropbox and to see a whole huge body of work, years of work and files, simply vanished. OK they are't permanently gone not yet anyway but still I never asked to move that folder containing thousands of files and subfolders to that obscure totally unrelated folder, so it shouldn't have happened.

I get this message for months: " This account's links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled! The truth is that they try to force users to upgrade. But i'm sure that my links are NOT generated that much traffic! They NOT even respond to messages! Emails, facebook page, nothing! Have a DB so that others can share info but now it is full, or so they say, so I removed all the files and it is still "full". No place to get an answer ot contact support.

Also, navigation within it is difficult. I started a 'free trial' which was scheduled to end on November 29th. If it was November 29th, shame on me, charge me. But the day before is deceptive and criminal even if it is in the fine print somewhere. Come on DropBox! I had to use Dropbox to download a picture that I ordered from Esty. OK, a one time deal, free trial period. I received a text and a phone call that there was a fraudulent charge on my bank card This company is a scam and I'm sure they are charging many other unsuspecting people.

As others have stated, no refunds, no recourse, no customer service. This company should have a star rating of -1! Reporting this to the BBB! False advertising scum! They start you free and then they extort you to their paid product. I wasted no little amount of time trying to help them get their Linux version working only to have them tell me that they are not going to bother fixing it.

These people are the scum of the Earth. Don't start with them and you won't be stuck with them. Tip for consumers: Don't trust Dropbox. I naively ordered Pro for a year, little did I know they kept my credit card info and recharged me for a second year.

When I noticed the charge and I complained to them, they basically said it sucks to be you Stay away from these scam artists. It costs them nothing to cancel the second year and credit your account. Tip for consumers: Do not give them a credit card they can use to renew and charge you for a second year without asking for authorization This company is a joke.

I have been trying to cancel since march. No response back. Going to cancel my credit card to get the charges to stop. Got to love a tech company that hides behind their bots. Don't use Dropbox, use your cloud options for secure file transfers. I am very satisfied with their service and very easy system to understand.

They have very easy download and upload option but the space is very limited for free user. Anyways, it is very good product and recommended! It was not long after renewal and they refused to offer any support and had to pay for the additional year of service I got locked out of my account due to 2-factor authentication.

I don't have any device connected to my dropbox account and I don't own the phone number on my account. Because of this I can't access my own files and my information is lost forever. I will not trust this company again. Their account recover policy is bad compared to other business. I have been given insanely bad support. I paid have receipt of payment for a Pro account back in April. All was good until a few weeks ago.
